Jure Kobal holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering and has been working at Nova KBM as an IT quality manager. After nine years of working for the second largest bank in Slovenia he has in-depth knowledge of all areas of banking IT, ranging from business requirements, software development, IT-architecture and infrastructure, while he has also gained vast experience (and stamina) through numerous projects and audits.

Although working in the highly regulated banking environment, he closely follows innovations introduced by fintech companies and start-ups. He is aware that unlike banks, these businesses are less restricted by various rules and regulations, therefore it is easier for them to find innovative and ground-breaking solutions. Furthermore, start-ups can focus solely on the development of their business idea, therefore the process leading to the idea implementation is shorter and less complicated. They can also explore the areas that are not core banking business, yet the solutions they provide can help banks to expand the range of their products and even alter their business models.

At Podim Jure will be looking for innovative solutions and advanced approaches that would offer added value both to Nova KBM and its clients. In this he is not motivated only professionally, but also personally, as he dedicates a portion of his spare time to gaining new knowledge in advanced approaches to software development.
